FOURTH SECTION

Application no. 30777/15 Andrásné NAGY against Hungary lodged on 14 September 2015

SUBJECT MATTER OF THE CASE

The application concerns the vain attempts of the applicant, adopted as a baby, to obtain information from the authorities about her real identity at birth, about her biological parents and, generally, about the circumstances of her adoption. It appears that her 2015 court action was to no avail; and that no official records are kept or available on the subject.

QUESTIONS tO THE PARTIES

1. Has Article 35 § 1 of the Convention been complied with in the present case?

2. Has here been a violation of the applicant ’ s right to respect for her private life, contrary to Article 8 of the Convention, on account of the apparent impossibility to find out about her personal history (see, mutatis mutandis, Odièvre v. France [GC], no. 42326/98, ECHR 2003 ‑ III)?
