SUBJECT MATTER OF THE CASE
The applicant complains about the length of his pre-trial detention, the reasoning offered by the domestic courts therefor, and the said courts ’ alleged failure to hear him or his legal counsel in person when his detention was being extended. He also complains about the length of the proceedings before the Constitutional Court.
QUESTIONS TO THE PARTIES
1. Has there been a violation of Article 5 of the Convention and in particular of Article 5 §§ 3 and/or 4 thereof, in view of the length of the applicant ’ s pre-trial detention, the reasoning offered by the domestic courts therefor, and the said courts ’ alleged failure to hear the applicant or his legal counsel in person when the applicant ’ s detention was being extended, all within the same set of ongoing criminal proceedings brought against him?
2. Was the length of the proceedings before the Constitutional Court in the present case in breach of the “reasonable time” requirement of Article 6 § 1 of the Convention?
