Length of criminal proceedings: friendly settlement

The case concerns the length of criminal proceedings brought against the applicant in 1991. He was acquitted in March 1997.

The parties have reached a friendly settlement providing for pay ment to the applicant of the sum of 13 million lire (ITL), to cover non-pecuniary damages and also legal costs.
