FIRST SECTION
DECISION
Application no. 54372/15 Aleksandra SKERLEVSKA against the former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia
The European Court of Human Rights (First Section), sitting on 25 September 2018 as a Committee composed of:
Aleš Pejchal, President, Armen Harutyunyan, Jovan Ilievski, judges, and Renata Degener, Deputy Section Registrar ,
Having regard to the above application lodged on 26 October 2015,
Having deliberated, decides as follows:
FACTS AND PROCEDURE
The applicant, Ms Aleksandra Skerlevska, is a Macedonian national, who was born in 1983 and lives in Bitola. She was represented before the Court by Ms T. Siljanoska, a lawyer practising in Kičevo.
The applicant ’ s complaint under Article 8 of the Convention was communicated to the Macedonian Government (“the Government”), who were represented by their former Agent, Mr K. Bogdanov, succeeded by Ms D. Djonova.
The applicant failed to respond to the last Registry ’ s letter of 24 January 2018 (received by her representative on 6 February 2018), reminding her that the period allowed for submission of her reply to the Government ’ s observations had expired on 27 November 2017 and that no extension of time had been requested. Her at tention was drawn to Article 37 § 1 (a) of the Convention.
THE LAW
The Court considers that, in these circumstances, the applicant may be regarded as no longer wishing to pursue her application, within the meaning of Article 37 § 1 (a) of the Convention. Furthermore, in accordance with Article 37 § 1 in fine , the Court finds no special circumstances regarding respect for human rights as defined in the Convention and its Protocols which require the continued examination of the case.
In view of the above, it is appropriate to strike the case out of the list.
For these reasons, the Court, unanimously,
Decides to strike the application out of its list of cases.
Done in English and notified in writing on 18 October 2018 .
