FIFTH SECTION

Application no. 24060/23 Pantiko TORDIA and Others against Georgia lodged on 7 June 2023 communicated on 6 November 2023

SUBJECT MATTER OF THE CASE

The application concerns the length of civil proceedings, which the applicants initiated on 2 June 2013 with a view to reinstating their property rights. The proceedings are currently pending before the Supreme Court of Georgia.

Relying on Articles 6 § 1 and 13 of the Convention the applicants complain about the length of the relevant proceedings and the absence of an effective remedy in that respect.

QUESTIONS TO THE PARTIES

1. Is the length of the civil proceedings in the present case in breach of the “reasonable time” requirement of Article 6 § 1 of the Convention?

2. Did the applicants have at their disposal an effective domestic remedy for their complaint under Article 6 § 1 of the Convention about the length of proceedings, as required by Article 13 of the Convention?
