Having regard to the above application lodged on 12 October 2018,
Having deliberated, decides as follows:
FACTS AND PROCEDURE
The applicant, Mr Valeriy Ivanovych Mazur, was born in 1951. He was represented by Mr R.L. Klymenko, a lawyer practising in Kharkiv, Ukraine.
The applicant’s complaints under Article 5 § 3 of the Convention concerning the excessive length of pre-trial detention were communicated to the Ukrainian Government (“the Governmentâ€).
On 9 December 2022 the applicant’s representative informed the Registry that the applicant had died and that he is not aware of any applicant’s relatives expressing their wish to pursue proceedings in his stead.
THE LAW
In the light of the foregoing, the Court concludes that the applicant’s heirs, if any, do not wish to pursue the application within the meaning of Article 37 § 1 (a) of the Convention.
Accordingly, the case should be struck out of the list.
For these reasons, the Court, unanimously,
Decides to strike the application out of its list of cases.
