SUBJECT MATTER OF THE CASE

The application concerns the criminal conviction of the applicants, who were followers of the Nursist teachings of Islam, for illegal distribution of religious literature and encroachment on the rights of others under the pretext of performance of religious rituals. The applicants allege that the domestic courts’ decisions concerning their criminal conviction lacked adequate reasoning.
