Vegan diet refused to both a prisoner and a hospital patient: communicated

The applications concern the authorities’ refusal to provide the applicants with a fully vegan diet while they were in prison and in a hospital psychiatric unit respectively. The courts took the view that the decisions in question were not open to appeal under the law (see, most recently, the Federal Court judgments of 11 June 2020 and 9 February 2022 ).
