STATEMENT OF FACTS

The applicant, Mr M.R. , is a citizen of Iran. H e was born in 1984 and is currently staying in the Netherlands. He is represented before the Court by Ms G. van Reemst , a lawyer practis ing in Utrecht .

The facts of the case, as submitted by the applicant, may be summarised as follows.

On 14 February 2011 the applicant applied for asylum in the Netherlands. The final negative decision on this application was taken by the Regional Court ( rechtbank ) on 30 May 2013. The applicant did not lodge a further appeal.

On 5 July 2012 the applicant applied for asylum in the Netherlands for a second time . The final negative decision on this application was taken by the Administrative Jurisdiction Division of the Council of State ( Afdeling bestuursrechtspraak van de Raad van State) on 27 June 2014 .

COMPLAINT S

The applicant complains under Article 3 of the Convention that in view of his conversion to Christianity there are substantial grounds for believing that he will be subjected to treatment prohibited by that provision if he were expelled to Iran.

The applicant complains under Article 13 that he did not have an effective remedy in Dutch national law in terms of his complaint under Article 3 of the Convention.
