FOURTH SECTION

Application no. 14769/15 Jelenko GRAHOVAC against Bosnia and Herzegovina lodged on 12 March 2015

SUBJECT MATTER OF THE CASE

The application concerns the length of the criminal proceedings against the applicant.

On 22 March 1995 the applicant was charged with robbery. In 2004 the proceedings were suspended because his whereabouts were unknown. They resumed in 2014 and are still pending.

However, from 2006 until 2007 another set of criminal proceeding was conducted against the applicant before the same domestic court. The applicant was found guilty and served his prison sentence in 2008.

QUESTION tO THE PARTIES

Was the length of the criminal proceedings in the present case in breach of the “reasonable time” requirement of Article 6 § 1 of the Convention (see Lehtinen v. Finland (no. 2) , no. 41585/98, 8 June 2006)?
