SUBJECT MATTER OF THE CASE

The application concerns the lack of legal assistance to the applicant in police custody ( Salduz v. Turkey [GC], no. 36391/02, ECHR 2008; Ibrahim and Others v. the United Kingdom [GC], nos. 50541/08 and 3 others , ECHR 2016; Simeonovi v. Bulgaria [GC], no. 21980/04, CEDH 2017 ( extracts )) .

QUESTION tO THE PARTIES

Having regard to his conviction on 22 November 2016 by the Ordgonikidskiy District Court of Ekaterinburg , as upheld on Sverdlovsk Regional Court on 10 March 2017, has there been a breach of Article 6 §§ 1 and 3 (c) of the Convention as a result of the lack of legal assistance available to the applicant on 22 January 2016 (see Ibrahim and Others v. the United Kingdom [GC], nos. 50541/08 and 3 others , §§ 249-74, ECHR 2016 )?
