Application no. 44727/09 Fuad HUSEYNOV against Azerbaijan lodged on 8 July 2009

SUBJECT MATTER OF THE CASE

The application concerns civil proceedings in respect of a claim for damages against the applicant brought by the victim of his crimes in which the applicant was ordered to pay the victim the sum of 5,000 Azerbaijani manats (AZN – approximately 4,000 euros (EUR) at the time).

The applicant complains under 6 § 1 of the Convention that he was not able to participate in these proceedings either in person or through legal assistance.
