SUBJECT MATTER OF THE CASE

The application concerns the length of the applicant ’ s pre-trial detention from 25 July 2013 to 1 March 2016 on charges of murder and violation of personal liberty as well as his alleged inability to receive visits from or maintain contacts with his minor children for a period of 28 months.

QUESTIONS tO THE PARTIES

1. Was the length of the applicant ’ s pre-trial detention in breach of the “reasonable time” requirement of Article 5 § 3 of the Convention?

2. Has there been a violation of the applicant ’ s right to respect for his family life, contrary to Article 8 of the Convention?
