SUBJECT MATTER OF THE CASE

The application concerns the applicant ’ s civil action against a newspaper for defamation following the publication of an article describing her as sister of a state enemy and her dismissal from her job after the publication of that article.

QUESTIONS tO THE PARTIES

1. Has there been an interference with the applicant ’ s right to respect for her private life, within the meaning of Article 8 § 1 of the Convention as a result of (i) the publication and (ii) her dismissal from her job? If so, was that interference in accordance with the law and necessary in terms of Article 8 § 2?

2. Has the applicant suffered discrimination on the ground of her brother ’ s political views, contrary to Article 14 read in conjunction with Article 8 of the Convention?

The parties are requested to provide the Court with a copy of the Supreme Court ’ s decision of 2 October 2012.
