SUBJECT MATTER OF THE CASE

The case concerns the applicant ’ s complaint that he was tried and punished twice for the same offence, in breach of Article 4 of Protocol No. 7. In particular, in the minor-offences proceedings he was convicted of illegal possession of drugs by a judgment of 3 February 2008 which became final on 14 October 2009. In the criminal proceedings, by a judgment of 25 January 2011, he was convicted of illegal drug trafficking and possession of drugs with the intent of illegal trafficking in relation to the same drugs for which possession he had been convicted in the minor-offences proceedings.
