SUBJECT MATTER OF THE CASE

The application concerns the applicant ’ s complaint that the costs of civil proceedings he himself incurred and those he was ordered to pay to the State were higher than the compensation he was awarded for injuries he had sustained while being transported in a police van as a prisoner.

QUESTION TO THE PARTIES

Having regard to the costs the applicant incurred and those he was ordered to pay to the State in the civil proceedings complained of, has there been a violation of his right of access to court guaranteed by Article 6 § 1 of the Convention and/or his right to peaceful enjoyment of his possessions guaranteed by Article 1 of Protocol No 1 to the Convention (see Klauz v. Croatia , no. 28963/10, 18 July 2013 ) ?
