QUESTION TO THE PARTIES

In view of the information contained in the applicant ’ s submissions of 24 November 2011 and 20 December 2011 concerning the alleged undue pressure exerted on him by the prison authorities to sign a friendly settlement agreement undertaking to withdraw the present application in exchange for his release, and the fact that the applicant ’ s release appears to have been effected based on his health condition rather than the agreement concerned, has the Government failed to comply with Article 34 of the Convention?
