SUBJECT MATTER OF THE CASE

The application concerns the applicant ’ s alleged ill-treatment by the police during the massive protests of April 2009. The applicant, who was a Member of Parliament at the relevant time, complains under Article 3 of the Convention of the authorities ’ failure to properly investigate her ill-treatment by two police officers whom she identified (the two were acquitted).

QUESTION TO THE PARTIES

Has there been a violation of Article 3 of the Convention? In particular, was the applicant subjected to ill-treatment by the police and did the authorities carry out an effective investigation into her allegations of ill-treatment? (see Taraburca v. Moldova , no. 18919/10, §§ 38-59, 6 December 2011)
