Length of civil proceedings: friendly settlement

The case concerns the length of proceedings relating to a claim for compensation for detention, following acquittal. The parties have reached a friendly settlement providing for payment to th e applicant of 17 million lire (ITL) (12 million lire in respect of non-pecuniary damage and 5 million lire in respect of costs and expenses).
