Effective remedy

Lack of effective remedy in respect of excessive length of court proceedings: violation

The case concerned the length of civil proceedings (almost 15 years). The Court concluded unanimously that there had been a violation of Article 6 § 1. It further concl uded unanimously that there had been a violation of Article 13 in that no effective remedy was available in domestic law with regard to a complaint about the excessive length of court proceedings.
