In September 2014 the applicant, who was in detention, applied for permissio n to have conjugal visits from his same-sex partner. The prison management refused. In December 2014 a court ordered that he be granted permission as requested. The authorities refused to comply, despite the fact that the judgment was final. In April 2015 the applicant was released on licence.
