DECISION

Application no . 9417/13 M.L. and O thers against Russia and 6 other applications (see list appended)

The European Court of Human Rights ( First Section ), sitting on 10 March 2015 as a Committee composed of:

Khanlar Hajiyev , President, Erik Møse , Dmitry Dedov , judges , and André Wampach , Deputy Section Registrar ,

Having regard to the above applications lodged on 5 February 2013 ,

Having deliberated, decides as follows:

FACTS AND PROCEDURE

A list of the applicants is set out in the appendix.

The Russian Government (“the Government”) were represented by Mr G. Matyushkin , Representative of the Russian Federation at the European Court of Human Rights.

The applicants complained under Articles 3, 8 and 14 of the Convention about the application to them of the ban on adoption of Russian children by nationals of the United States of America, provided by Law no. 272-FZ.

On 4 November 2013 the Court decided to give notice to the Government of the applicants ’ complaints.

On the following dates the applicants informed the Court that they wanted to withdraw the applications:

- on 15 January 2014 in respect of the application no. 23879/13;

- on 1 April 2014 in respect of the application no. 11327/13;

- on 1 April 2014 in respect of the application no. 11672/13;

- on 4 April 2014 in respect of the application no. 42289/13;

- on 21 April 2014 in respect of the application no. 10490/13;

- on 24 April 2014 in respect of the application no. 9417/13;

- on 18 September 2014 in respect of the application no. 29191/13.

THE LAW

In the light of the foregoing, and in the absence of any special circumstances regarding respect for the rights guaranteed by the Convention or its Protocols, the Court, in accordance with Article 37 § 1 (a) of the Convention, considers that it is no longer justified to continue the examination of the application s .

Accordingly, the case should be struck out of the list.

For these reasons, the Court, unanimously,

Decides to join the applications ;

Decides to strike the applications out of its list of cases.
