Application no . 69924/12 Ferenc LÁSZLÓ against Hungary
The European Court of Human Rights, sitting on 24 May 2016 as a Committee composed of:

Having regard to the above application lodged on 24 October 2012,
Having deliberated, decides as follows:
FACTS AND PROCEDURE
The applicant, Mr Ferenc László, is a Hungarian national, who was born in 1974 and lives in Nagykőrös. He was represented before the Court by Mr D. Karsai, a lawyer practising in Budapest.
The Hungarian Government (“the Government”) were represented by Mr Z. Tallódi, Agent, Ministry of Justice.
The applicant, a member of Nagykőrös Municipal Assembly, complained under Article 10 of the Convention that the decision of the Municipal Assembly to fine him for revealing the outcome of a secret vote had violated his right to freedom of expression. He also complained under Article 13 of the Convention that there was no remedy available to him to contest the impugned decision.
On 21 April 2015 the Court decided to give notice to the Government of the applicant ’ s complaints.
On 26 April 2016 the applicant ’ s representative informed the Court that the applicant intended to withdraw the application.
THE LAW
In the light of the foregoing, and in the absence of any special circumstances regarding respect for the rights guaranteed by the Convention or its Protocols, the Court, in accordance with Article 37 § 1 (a) of the Convention, considers that it is no longer justified to continue the examination of the application.
Accordingly, the case should be struck out of the list.
For these reasons, the Court, unanimously
Decides to strike the application out of its list of cases.
