THIRD SECTION

DECISION

Application no. 25292/10 Sergey Nikolayevich SALNIKOV against Russia and 3 other applications (see list appended)

The European Court of Human Rights (Third Section), sitting on 6 February 2018 as a Committee composed of:

Luis López Guerra, President, Dmitry Dedov , Jolien Schukking , judges,

and Fatoş Aracı , Deputy Section Registrar ,

Having regard to the above applications lodged on the various dates indicated in the appended table ,

Having deliberated, decides as follows:

FACTS AND PROCEDURE

The applicants are Russian nationals whose names and dates of birth are set out in the appendix.

The applicants ’ complaints under Article 6 § 1 of the Convention in conjunction with Article 6 § 3 (c) were communicated to the Russian Government (“the Government”), who were represented initially by Mr G. Matyushkin , the Representative of the Russian Federation to the European Court of Human Rights, and then by his successor in that office, Mr M. Galperin .

The applicants failed to respond to the last Registry ’ s letters of 28 August 2017 (received by the applicants on various dates (see appendix)), reminding them that the period allowed for submission of their observations in reply had expired on 22 May 2017 and that no extension of time had been requested. Their attention was drawn to Article 37 § 1 (a) of the Convention.

THE LAW

Having regard to the similar subject matter of the applications, the Court finds it appropriate to examine them jointly in a single decision.

The Court considers that, in these circumstances, the applicants may be regarded as no longer wishing to pursue their applications, within the meaning of Article 37 § 1 (a) of the Convention. Furthermore, in accordance with Article 37 § 1 in fine , the Court finds no special circumstances regarding respect for human rights as defined in the Convention and its Protocols which require the continued examination of the cases.

In view of the above, it is appropriate to strike the case s out of the list.

For these reasons, the Court, unanimously,

Decides to join the applications;

Decides to strike the applications out of its list of cases.

Done in English and notified in writing on 1 March 2018 .
