DECISION
Application no. 71487/16 Abdulahad Alisa oglu MAHMUDOV against Azerbaijan
The European Court of Human Rights (Fifth Section), sitting on 11 June 2020 as a Committee composed of:
Ganna Yudkivska, President, Lado Chanturia, Anja Seibert-Fohr, judges, and Liv Tigerstedt, Acting Deputy Section Registrar,
Having regard to the above application lodged on 19 November 2016 ,
Having deliberated, decides as follows:
FACTS AND PROCEDURE
The applicant, Mr Abdulahad Alisa oglu Mahmudov , was born in 1944.
The applicant was represented by Mr S. TaÄŸiyev , a lawyer practising in Baku.
The applicant ’ s complaints under Article 6 § 1 of the Convention and Article 1 of Protocol No. 1 concerning the non-enforcement or delayed enforcement of domestic decisions were communicated to the Azerbaijani Government (“the Government”)
On 24 March 2020 the applicant informed the Registry that he wanted to withdraw the application to the Court as compensation had been paid by the Government.
THE LAW
In the light of the foregoing, t he Court concludes that the applicant may be regarded as no longer wishing to pursue the application (Article 37 § 1 (a) of the Convention). Furthermore, in accordance with Article 37 § 1 in fine , the Court finds no special circumstances regarding respect for human rights as defined in the Convention and the Protocols thereto which require the continued examination of the application.
Accordingly, the case should be struck out of the list.
For these reasons, the Court, unanimously,
Decides to strike the application out of its list of cases.
