DECISION

Application no. 62730/12 PAROHIA REFORMATÄ‚ DEJ against Romania

The European Court of Human Rights (Fourth Section), sitting on 29 September 2020 as a Committee composed of:

and Liv Tigerstedt, Acting Deputy Section Registrar,

Having regard to the above application lodged on 31 August 2012,

Having deliberated, decides as follows:

FACTS AND PROCEDURE

The applicant ’ s details are set out in the appended table.

The applicant was represented by Ms Hajnal B á nhegyesi , a lawyer practising in Cluj-Napoca.

The applicant ’ s complaint under Article 1 of Protocol No. 1 of the Convention concerning its inability to obtain restitution of its nationalised property or to secure compensation therefor was communicated to the Romanian Government (“the Government”) .

On 2 September 2020 the applicant informed the Court that the claimed property had been returned to it and that it consequently did not intend to pursue the proceedings before the Court.

THE LAW

In view of the above, the Court considers that the matter has been resolved within the meaning of Article 37 § 1 (b) of the Convention and that respect for human rights as defined in the Convention and the Protocols thereto does not require it to continue the examination of the application under Article 37 § 1 in fine .

Accordingly, the application should be struck out of the list .

For these reasons, the Court, unanimously,

Decides to strike the application out of its list of cases .

Done in English and notified in writing on 22 October 2020 .
