(s ee appended table)

The European Court of Human Rights (Fourth Section), sitting on 22 April 2021 as a Committee composed of:

Armen Harutyunyan, President, Jolien Schukking , Ana Maria Guerra Martins, judges,

and Viktoriya Maradudina , Acting Deputy Section Registrar,

Having regard to the above application lodged on 2 March 2020 ,

Having regard to the parties ’ correspondence confirming that a friendly settlement has been reached,

Having deliberated, decides as follows:

FACTS AND PROCEDURE

The applicant ’ s details are set out in the appended table.

The applicant ’ s complaint under Article 6 § 1 of the Convention concerning the length of the proceedings in the United Kingdom to enforce a final judgment in her favour handed down in Poland was communicated to the United Kingdom Government (“the Government”) .

By letter of 29 January 2021 the Government set out proposed terms for the friendly settlement of the application. This was transmitted to the applicant. By letter of 16 February 2021 she confirmed that she agreed to the friendly settlement of the application on the stipulated terms.

THE LAW

The Court takes note of the friendly settlement reached between the parties. It is satisfied that the settlement is based on respect for human rights as defined in the Convention and the Protocols thereto and finds no reasons to justify a continued examination of the application.

In view of the above, it is appropriate to strike the case out of the list.

For these reasons, the Court, unanimously,

Decides to strike the application out of its list of cases in accordance with Article 39 of the Convention .

Done in English and notified in writing on 20 May 2021 .
