Under the second subparagraph of Article 94(2) of the Rules of Procedure of the Court of First Instance, an application for legal aid need not be made through a lawyer. That exemption applies not only where the application is made prior to the proceedings which the applicant wishes to commence, but also where it is made after the proceedings have been initiated by a lawyer.
