SUBJECT MATTER OF THE CASE S
On 29 July 2012 the applicants, demonstrating, performed propaganda activities in the street while displaying flyers depicting a five-pointed red star. Police arrived, asked them to produce IDs and then committed them to the local police station where they were retained for several hours, on account of displaying a totalitarian symbol. The applicants ’ administrative actions against the police for unjustified action were dismissed on 14 May 2014 (service: 2 and 15 July, respectively).
