Application no. 12781/16 Grigore PETRENCO against the Republic of Moldova lodged on 12 February 2016

SUBJECT MATTER OF THE CASE

The application concerns the ban imposed by the courts on a public demonstration organised by the applicant in front of the residence of the leader of the governing political party . The applicant complains under Article 6 § 1 of that the court proceedings were not fair because he did not have sufficient time to prepare and under Article 11 of the Convention that his right to freedom of assembly was breached.

QUESTION TO THE PARTIES

Has there been a violation of the applicant ’ s right to freedom of peaceful assembly , contrary to Article 11 of the Convention ( Hyde Park and Others v. Moldova , no. 33482/06, 31 March 2009 ) ?
