SUBJECT MATTER OF THE CASE
The application concerns the applicant ’ s complaint under Article 6 §§ 1 and 3 (d) of the Convention that his conviction of being a co-perpetrator of the offences of fraud and of attempted fraud was based to a decisive extent on the evidence given against him to the police by three persons who had filed a report against him and that he was refused an opportunity to cross ‑ examine them.
QUESTIONS TO THE PARTIES
Did the applicant have a fair hearing in the determination of the criminal charges against him, in accordance with Article 6 § 1 of the Convention? In particular, and in the circumstances of the present case, did Article 6 § 3 (d) of the Convention require that the applicant be able to examine the three persons who had filed a report against him (see Schatschaschwili v. Germany [GC], no. 9154/10, ECHR 2015)?
