Refusal to exempt mentally ill alien seeking naturalisation from language and citizenship tests: communicated

The applicant is an Iraqi national born in 1976. She entered Denmark in 2000. In 2014 and 2017, she applied for Danish nationality and enclosed me dical certificates stating that she suffered from chronic schizophrenia, which prevented her from ever learning Danish to the level required for being granted citizenship and from taking the special citizenship test. However, the naturalisation committee o f the Danish Parliament refused to grant her exemption from language and citizenship tests. As a result, her application for nationality was rejected.
