***** COMMISSCOMMISSION REGULATION (EEC) No 3402/85 of 2 December 1985 amending Regulation (EEC) No 563/82 laying down detailed rules for the application of Regulation (EEC) No 1208/81 as regards the recording of market prices of adult bovine animals on the basis of the Community scale for the classification of carcases THETHE COMMISSION OF THE EUROPEAN COMMUNITIES, Having regard to the Treaty establishing the European Economic Community, Having regard to Council Regulation (EEC) No 805/68 of 27 June 1968 on the common organization of the market in beef and veal (1), as last amended by the Act of Accession of Greece, Having regard to Council Regulation (EEC) No 1208/81 of 28 April 1981 establishing the Community scale for the classification of carcases of adult bovine animals (2), and in particular the last subparagraph of Article 2 (2), Article 3 (1) and the second subparagraph of Article 4 (3) thereof, Whereas Commission Regulation (EEC) No 563/82 (3), as amended by Regulation (EEC) No 1935/83 (4), laid down detailed rules as regard the recording of the market prices of adult bovine animals on the basis of the Community scale for the classification of carcases; whereas, in order to ensure the availability of comparable prices in the Community, the said Regulation introduced a number of corrective factors needed to adjust the presentations used in some Member States to the Community reference presentation; Whereas experience has shown that, in order to ensure greater comparability of prices, it is enough to deduct the value tax from the price paid to the supplier for the animal on delivery to the slaughterhouse; whereas Regulation (EEC) No 563/82 should therefore be amended accordingly; Whereas, for the same reasons, the list of corrective factors provided for in the third subparagraph of Article 2 (2) of Regulation (EEC) No 1208/81 should be adapted; Whereas the measures provided for in this Regulation are in accordance with the opinion of the Management Committee for Beef and Veal, HAS ADOPTED THIS REGULATION: Article 1 Regulation (EEC) No 563/82 is hereby amended as follows: 1. Article 1 (1) is replaced by the following: '1. The market price to be established on the basis of the Community scale for the classification of carcases of adult bovine animals, referred to in the third and fourth subparagraphs of Article 6 of Regulation (EEC) No 1208/81 shall be the price paid to the supplier for the animal upon delivery to the slaughterhouse, net of value-added tax. The said price shall be expressed per 100 kg of carcase presented according to the reference presentation provided for in Article 2 (2) of the same Regulation, weighed and classified on the hook at the slaughterhouse.' 2. The Annex is replaced by the following: 'ANNEX Corrective factors provided for in the subparagraph of Article 2 (2) of Regulation (EEC) No 1208/81 expressed as a percentage of the carcase weight. THETHE COMMISSION OF THE EUROPEAN COMMUNITIES,
Having regard to the Treaty establishing the European Economic Community,
Having regard to Council Regulation (EEC) No 805/68 of 27 June 1968 on the common organization of the market in beef and veal (1), as last amended by the Act of Accession of Greece,
Having regard to Council Regulation (EEC) No 1208/81 of 28 April 1981 establishing the Community scale for the classification of carcases of adult bovine animals (2), and in particular the last subparagraph of Article 2 (2), Article 3 (1) and the second subparagraph of Article 4 (3) thereof,

Article 2
This Regulation shall enter into force on 1 January 1986.
