***** COUNCIL REGULATION (EEC) No 220/84 of 26 January 1984 on the application of Decision No 2/83 of the EEC-Israel Cooperation Council again amending Articles 6 and 17 of the Protocol concerning the definition of the concept of 'originating products' and methods of administrative cooperation THE COUNCIL OF THE EUROPEAN COMMUNITIES, Having regard to the Treaty establishing the European Economic Community, and in particular Article 113 thereof, Having regard to the proposal from the Commission, Whereas the Agreement between the European Economic Community and the State of Israel (1) was signed on 11 May 1975 and entered into force on 1 July 1975; Whereas under Article 25 of the Protocol concerning the definition of the concept of 'originating products' and methods of administrative cooperation, which is an integral part of the Agreement, the Cooperation Council adopted Decision No 2/83 again amending Articles 6 and 17; Whereas it is necessary to apply this Decision in the Community, HAS ADOPTED THIS REGULATION: Article 1 Decision No 2/83 of the EEC-Israel Cooperation Council shall be applicable in the Community. The text of the Decision is attached to this Regulation. Article 2 This Regulation shall enter into force on the third day following its publication in the Official Journal of the European Communities. DECISION No 2/83 OF THE COOPERATION COUNCIL of 14 December 1983 again amending Articles 6 and 17 of the Protocol concerning the definition of the concept of 'originating products' and methods of administrative cooperation THE COOPERATION COUNCIL, Having regard to the Agreement between the European Economic Community and the State of Israel, signed in Brussels on 11 May 1975, Having regard to the Protocol concerning the definition of the concept of 'originating products' and methods of administrative cooperation, hereinafter called the 'Protocol', and in particular Article 25 thereof, Whereas the equivalent value of the European unit of account in certain national currencies on 1 October 1982 was less than the corresponding value on 1 October 1980; whereas the automatic change in the base date laid down in Decision No 1/81 of the Cooperation Council would, in the case of conversion into the national currencies concerned, have the effect of reducing the limits which permit the presentation of simplified documentary evidence; whereas, in order to avoid this effect, it is necessary to increase such limits expressed in European units of account, HAS DECIDED AS FOLLOWS: Article 1 The Protocol is hereby amended as follows: 1. In the second subparagraph of Article 6 (1), '1 620 ECU' is replaced by '2 000 ECU'. 2. In Article 17 (2) '105 ECU' is replaced by '140 ECU' and '325 ECU' by '400 ECU'. THE COUNCIL OF THE EUROPEAN

COMMUNITIES,

Having regard to the Treaty establishing the European Economic Community, and in particular Article 113 thereof,

Having regard to the proposal from the Commission,

Whereas the Agreement between the European Economic Community and the State of Israel (1) was signed on 11 May 1975 and entered into force on 1 July 1975;

Whereas under Article 25 of the Protocol concerning the definition of the concept of 'originating products' and methods of administrative cooperation, which is an integral part of the Agreement, the Cooperation Council adopted Decision No 2/83 again amending Articles 6 and 17;

Whereas it is necessary to apply this Decision in the Community,

HAS ADOPTED THIS REGULATION:

Decision No 2/83 of the EEC-Israel Cooperation Council shall be applicable in the Community.

The text of the Decision is attached to this Regulation.

Article 2

This Regulation shall enter into force on the third day following its publication in the Official Journal of the European Communities.

This Regulation shall be binding in its entirety and directly applicable in all Member States.

DECISION No 2/83 OF THE COOPERATION COUNCIL

of 14 December 1983

again amending Articles 6 and 17 of the Protocol concerning the definition of the concept of 'originating products' and methods of administrative cooperation

THE COOPERATION COUNCIL,

Having regard to the Agreement between the European Economic Community and the State of Israel, signed in Brussels on 11 May 1975,

Having regard to the Protocol concerning the definition of the concept of 'originating products' and methods of administrative cooperation, hereinafter called the 'Protocol', and in particular Article 25 thereof,

Whereas the equivalent value of the European unit of account in certain national currencies on 1 October 1982 was less than the corresponding value on 1 October 1980; whereas the automatic change in the base date laid down in Decision No 1/81 of the Cooperation Council would, in the case of conversion into the national currencies concerned, have the effect of reducing the limits which permit the presentation of simplified documentary evidence; whereas, in order to avoid this effect, it is necessary to increase such limits expressed in European units of account,

HAS DECIDED AS FOLLOWS:

Article 1

The Protocol is hereby amended as follows:

1. In the second subparagraph of Article 6 (1), '1 620 ECU' is replaced by '2 000 ECU'.

2. In Article 17 (2) '105 ECU' is replaced by '140 ECU' and '325 ECU' by '400 ECU'.

Article 2

This Decision shall enter into force on 1 February 1984.
