***** COMMISSION REGULATION (EEC) No 2124/82 of 29 July 1982 amending Regulation (EEC) No 2102/75 determining the quantity of potatoes required for the manufacture of one tonne of starch THE COMMISSION OF THE EUROPEAN COMMUNITIES, Having regard to the Treaty establishing the European Economic Community, Having regard to Council Regulation (EEC) No 2727/75 of 29 October 1975 on the common organization of the market in cereals (1), as last amended by Regulation (EEC) No 1451/82 (2), Having regard to Council Regulation (EEC) No 2742/75 of 29 October 1975 on production refunds in the cereals and rice sectors (3), as last amended by Regulation (EEC) No 1460/82 (4), and in particular Article 8 thereof, Whereas progress over the last few years makes it possible to determine the starch content of potatoes more precisely; whereas the Annex to Commission Regulation (EEC) No 2102/75 (5), as last amended by Regulation (EEC) No 2190/81 (6), should therefore be replaced by an Annex containing more detailed scales; Whereas recent technical developments in starch production mean that smaller quantities of potatoes are required to produce a tonne of starch; whereas the figures in the third column of the Annex to Regulation (EEC) No 2102/75 should therefore take account of this; Whereas the production refund mentioned in Article 2 of Regulation No 2742/75 and the amount by which this is increased under Article 3 of that Regulation have been adjusted with effect from 1 August 1982; whereas the amounts in columns 4, 5 and 6 of the Annex must be adjusted in line with these changes; Whereas the measures provided for in this Regulation are in accordance with the opinion of the Management Committee for Cereals, HAS ADOPTED THIS REGULATION: Article 1 The Annex to Regulation (EEC) No 2102/75 is replaced by the Annex to this Regulation. Article 2 This Regulation shall enter into force on 1 August 1982. This Regulation shall be binding in its entirety and directly applicable in all Member States. Done at Brussels, 29 July 1982. amending Regulation (EEC) No 2102/75 determining the quantity of potatoes required for the manufacture of one tonne of starch

THE COMMISSION OF THE EUROPEAN

COMMUNITIES,

Having regard to the Treaty establishing the European Economic Community,

Having regard to Council Regulation (EEC) No 2727/75 of 29 October 1975 on the common organization of the market in cereals (1), as last amended by Regulation (EEC) No 1451/82 (2),

Having regard to Council Regulation (EEC) No 2742/75 of 29 October 1975 on production refunds in the cereals and rice sectors (3), as last amended by Regulation (EEC) No 1460/82 (4), and in particular Article 8 thereof,

Whereas progress over the last few years makes it possible to determine the starch content of potatoes more precisely; whereas the Annex to Commission Regulation (EEC) No 2102/75 (5), as last amended by Regulation (EEC) No 2190/81 (6), should therefore be replaced by an Annex containing more detailed scales;

Whereas recent technical developments in starch production mean that smaller quantities of potatoes are required to produce a tonne of starch; whereas the figures in the third column of the Annex to Regulation (EEC) No 2102/75 should therefore take account of this;

Whereas the production refund mentioned in Article 2 of Regulation No 2742/75 and the amount by which this is increased under Article 3 of that Regulation have been adjusted with effect from 1 August 1982; whereas the amounts in columns 4, 5 and 6 of the Annex must be adjusted in line with these changes;

Whereas the measures provided for in this Regulation are in accordance with the opinion of the Management Committee for Cereals,

HAS ADOPTED THIS REGULATION:

The Annex to Regulation (EEC) No 2102/75 is replaced by the Annex to this Regulation.

Article 2

This Regulation shall enter into force on 1 August 1982.

This Regulation shall be binding in its entirety and directly applicable in all Member States.
